Herdr is a Rust terminal multiplexer built around coding agents. It detects agent CLIs such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and opencode running in its panes, reports whether each is working, blocked, done or idle, and keeps sessions alive on a local or SSH-connected server. It exposes a socket API and plugin marketplace for scripting and orchestration. The project joined Y Combinator in August 2026 and raised a $6M seed in September 2026; the runtime was relicensed from AGPL-3.0 to Apache-2.0.
